Today, Year 5 and 6 all had workshops using wooden blocks to create printing patterns. The artist Madhu Mani shared her woodblocks and inks and the children all experienced this heritage textiles art from India.
This afternoon, Kingfishers and then Hawthorn class both spent time with Madhu to learn about her life as an artist, her inspiration and her artwork. The children then had a chance to ask Madhu a variety of questions to learn more. Fantastic questions by both classes today! What an amazing day 2 of artist week.
