The children have been thinking about how we can be remembered as the first group of children to play and learn at Hampton Lakes Primary School, and so have worked together with Miss Trigg to create a “Little Book of Memories” to place in a time capsule.
Today a small group of children went with Miss Trigg to meet the team from Interserve. They were treated to a very special tour of the building site and then helped Miss Trigg bury the Time Capsule deep in a hole under the stone slab flooring. When the slabs were placed over the top of the time capsule the children needed to stamp and stomp their feet to make sure the bricks were firmly back in place.
The children returned back to school to tell their friends all about their adventures and explained that although our school is not yet finished it is well on its way!
Thank you to the team at Interserve for making the children and adults feel so welcomed and safe on site.
