Creating a space where children can learn all about plants, to grow fruit and vegetables and to care and nurture the fruits of their labour has been something I have been so keen to develop for the young people of Hampton Lakes.
Mr Ebdell and Mr Farrington-Tillyer have worked so incredibly hard to make this happen, both during the school day, but also giving of their own time, often working until late into the evening. Today, they proudly invited me in to see their finished product. They have worked to design and make bedding containers made from recycled plastics, to line and fill the area to ensure longevity, to fence around, creating a purposeful zone, and finishing off with two little sized benches for when, after all the hard work, we will be able to sit and simply breathe. I hope the children will love it as much as I do. Thank you.
