Key Stage Two have spent some time looking at the durability and tensile strength of different material as they entered an inter class competition to design and make the strongest bridge. They spent some time considering the structure of the bridge and how this contributed to the strength of the bridge as a whole, before working in small groups to create their own bridge using scrap paper and other readily available materials.
We are most certainly lucky enough to have some future construction engineers in our midst.
