Today Year 1 completed an experiment using dinosaur poo!
We started by making some rules about how to safely explore dinosaur poo and talked about all the things prehistoric poo could tell us, including animals diet, where they lived and even their size!
We learnt about George Frandsen the man who owns the biggest collection of prehistoric poo in the world and has a prehistoric poo museum!
Finally using tweezers and a magnifying glass we dissected the poo’s to see which kind of dinosaur they belonged to. We had loads of fun and we were lucky enough to have the poo of a carnivore (filled with worms), an omnivore (with worms and plants) and a herbivore (with leaves) to compare.
