After learning about Lewis Hamilton today as part of our Around the World at Hampton Lakes, the children in Year 1 have accepted his STEM challenge.
We started our lesson by watching a few highlights of Lewis Hamilton racing, learnt about his achievements in racing and about the lack of diversity within the sport, we then began to look at how forces affect racing. We used small cars and tested how well they travel on different surfaces, looked at how they were affected and why.
